Connecting Capitols and Classrooms
Legislators need to hear about what is going on in programs and classrooms – your classrooms – and all of us need to be a voice for child care as our state and federal legislators work at the Capitols.
ECEC is helping to connect Capitols and Classrooms this year! These actions are already underway across the country.

Bring a State or Federal Policy Leader to Your Child Care Program
One of the best ways to help our federal and state officials to understand child care is to show them. ECEC members are bringing leaders to visit centers across the country. Check out the stories and pictures from these visits, and find out how you can do it too.
Action Day at the State Capitol!
ECEC staff and members took action at State Capitols in 2012. ECEC supports our members in these important efforts:
Children’s Week in Florida – April 7-10, 2013
Early Childhood Action Day in Pennsylvania – April 23, 2013
Watch for news about these action days in 2013 and save the date! We look forward to seeing you out there.
