ECEC Welcomes Newest Member – the Ohio Association of Child Care Providers (OACCP)!

OACCP represents 640 licensed centers in Ohio that provide services in a variety of settings, including for Head Start, Early Head Start, and state funded pre-K. OACCP is currently leading an effort to influence key policy makers in the Ohio Legislature and Administration to expand Ohio’s Early Childhood Education System (e.g. Public Preschool) and allow community-based providers to directly provide public preschool services. OACCP is also active in shaping policy through the Ohio Child Care Advisory Council, which is charged with advising the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services of Child Care Policy. OACCP has also successfully advocates for effective policies pertaining to automated attendance and payment systems and infant cribs.
