Celia Sims leads KinderCare’s advocacy work, ensuring government policies and programs benefit all children, regardless of background or economic status. Celia joined KinderCare from the New America Foundation, where she served as a director and successfully launched the Postsecondary National Policy Institute.
Throughout her career, Celia worked on education policy and legislation and served as a senior policy advisor and negotiator in the U.S. Senate and U.S. Department of Education on important federal legislation, including the Head Start Act, the Child Care and Development Block Grant, the Elementary and Secondary Education Act, and the Higher Education Act.
