Letters to Congress

Strengthening Federal Child Care Support

ECEC and our national and state partners call on Congress and the Trump administration to prioritize the child care sector through annual appropriations and enhancements to existing child care tax incentives.

Our top federal priorities include increased funding for the Child Care and Development Block Grant (CCDBG) and updates and expansions to tax incentives including the Employer-Provided Child Care Tax Credit (Sec. 45F), the Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit (CDCTC) and the Dependent Care Assistance Program (DCAP). ECEC also advocates for improvements to child nutrition programs, specifically the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), and to various child care workforce supports.
